Shopping Cart

My favorite Paleo Sites are getting even better!

Foodee Project.com now has a feature that allows you to choose the recipes you want and add them to a Shopping Cart. From there, you can adjust the ‘serving’ size to meet your needs and the Consolidated shopping list is adjusted accordingly.

I placed 7 days worth of ‘Dinners’ into the cart and adjusted the serving size up to 2 (recommended for Guys).

The site produced a list of groceries I need to have all of the ingredients for the different dishes. I got my shopping done in one trip and had everything I needed for dinners throughout the week.

How awesome is that?!?

If you know of other sites that are doing something similar – post them to the comments below!

Get Creative…

This last weekend I participated in a Paleo Recipe Swap.
You might ask “What is the difference between a ‘Paleo Recipe Swap’ and a ‘Paleo Pot Luck’?
Well, first, a Swap is WAY faster… we were in and out within an hour.
Second, you get to take your food home and enjoy it throughout the week rather than try to cram as much into your belly in one session.

There were about 6 or 7 of us who got together. We brought our dishes (and recipes) and laid everything out on the table.
Next, you pull out your EMPTY containers and start collecting delicious food!
So far, I have had 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and a breakfast from this event. I still have a full dinner left in the fridge for tomorrow!

When you decide to get one of these ‘Swaps’ together, make sure to plan for enough food. A good rule of thumb, make 1.5 times the amount of food for the number of people attending. As you can imagine, a smaller group of 5-8 people would be best… otherwise you will be cooking a TON OF FOOD.
